The Junior Lifeguard Program prepares children ages 11 - 14 years to learn what a lifeguard’s duties are and to start them on a journey for a possible career in water safety.

• Classes will be held on June 24-28, 2013, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, Monday - Friday, at the Helemano Pool.
• Ages: 11 - 14 years
• $60 per child
• Participants must be able to swim proficiently in deep end of the pool.
• Registration: Helemano Pool, June 1 - 20, 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
• Must have a minimum of 6 participants signed up.

Sign up your Teens for the Hawaii Adventure Camp at YMCA Camp Erdman (North Shore, Oahu)
July 21-26, 2013

Camp is Free but there is a $50 refundable deposit to hold a camp spot.
This fee is non-refundable for cancellations made after June 15, 2013 unless your spot can be filled.

Hawaii Adventure Camp 2013 will focus on three major themes: Physical Fitness, Mental Fitness, Personal Leadership.

Some of the activities the campers will have the opportunity to participate in are:

ELIGIBILITY: Military-Connected Teens ages 14-18 that reside in the Pacific Rim Region (Hawaii,
Japan, Okinawa, Korea, American Samoa, Guam, Kwajalein, Singapore and Saipan).
Must be a dependent of an Active Duty, Guard, Reserve or Retired Service Member.

Child, Youth & School Services (CYSS) continues to offer a Parent’s Night Out to families in our military community. Reservations will be
accepted on a first come first serve basis at the Parent Central Services Office (PSC). To enroll in Parent’s Night Out, children must be registered with CYSS no later than Wednesday at noon prior to the event.

Reservations may be taken as early as the Monday after the previous event. Parent’s Night Out is offered at AMR CDC & School Age Center (South) and at Bowen CDC & School Age Center (North)

Children should have their dinner prior to arriving. No outside food is allowed. A snack will be served. Children ages 6 weeks through 5th grade are welcome. CYSS registration is required and all children must have a current negative TB Tine (12 months and older) and up-to-date shot records at the time of reservation. Spaces are limited, so come by the CYSS Registration Office no later than noon on the Wednesday prior to the Parent’s Night Out. All children must wear closed toe and back shoes (no sling backs). Please bring your own blankets.
